Since the founding of Prime Mountain Sports, 15 years ago, there has been an excellent partnership between Prime and Bikelocal & Boardlocal AG. This long-standing community will become even closer in the future.

With the integration of Boardlocal’s snowboard school division into Prime Mountain Sports, expertise will be combined to provide customers with an even better experience.

Fifteen years ago, exactly on October 30, 2006, Prime Mountain Sports AG (Prime for short) was founded. The activity provider’s founder, Armin Kündig, started with a table no larger than one square meter in the sales store of Boardlocal. A larger booking office was not needed at that time, because the offer as a ski school is mainly on the slopes stadtfindet. For the Snowboardspeziallisten, which has been offering snowboard lessons for over 30 years, the addition of a ski instructor to the offer was very welcome. This allowed both parties to play to their core competencies.

A few years after its founding, the ski school grew and moved into its own office. In addition to Alpine Skiing, Telemarkand Cross Country Skiing, other mountain sports such as mountain biking and guided hikes were soon offered. The close relationship with Boardlocal remained, as the services always complemented each other. Thus, both parties continued to deepen their experience and knowledge in their fields.

For the winter season 2021/22, the snowboard school part of Boardlocal will be integrated into Prime Mountain Sports AG, further strengthening the community and thus offering customers a one-stop shop for the entire spectrum of snow sports.

“Prime’s goal has always been to provide our customers with a first-class time, or “prime time.” This philosophy coincides with the values that Boardlocal represents and so Prime will now be allowed to call itself the “Home of Boardlocal Snowboard School”.” Beat Gautschi, managing director of Prime Mountain Sports AG, is pleased.

In the coming winter, all snow sports courses will be organized centrally from Prime’s office. From where both the ski instructors in red/blue uniforms will start, and the snowboard instructors in their yellow/black suits. Snowsports enthusiasts can also make course bookings at the Boardlocal store, where they will find top advice, on clothing, boards, bindings and rental equipment (skis and boards).
